Risk of Monkeypox in RMI Low, but Public Awareness Encouraged

The Ministry of Health and Human Services (MOHHS) is closely monitoring the global Mpox situation, including recent outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Philippines.

While the Republic of the Marshall Islands is currently at a low to moderate risk, it's essential to stay vigilant. The MOHHS is enhancing surveillance at all points of entry, launching public awareness campaigns, updating response plans, and exploring vaccination options.

Residents are urged to stay informed, practice good hygiene, and seek medical attention if symptoms arise. For more details, please visit www.rmihealth.org to view the full Health Bulletin or contact the MOHHS directly.
