JOB PURPOSE: To provide administrative and clerical services for OHPPPPE and Laboratory Capacity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in administrative and secretarial services.
2. Assist with preparation and coordinator of activities.
3. Perform other duties within the capacity, qualification ad experience normally expected from the person occupying position as this classification.

MAIN DUTIES AND OUTCOMES:

1.1 Provide administrative and secretarial services and support to the OHPPPPE.
1.2 Maintain files and records pertaining to activities of the Division.
1.3 Assist with procuring and contracting services, equipment, and supplies relevant to the services of the OHPPPPE.
2.1 Assist with preparation and coordination of activities outlined under the OHPPPPE initiatives.
2.2 Interface with Agencies, Ministries, and other stakeholder and vendors of interest to the OHPPPPE activities.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications:

• Minimum of AS degree in Accounting or 3 years of experience in the Accounting field.

• Combination of education and experience that may be acceptable to the Public Service Commission.

Assignment Title: Early Childhood Pediatrician, Majuro Marshall Islands

The Government is seeking to hire an Early Childhood Development Staff Physician/Pediatrician: to provide quality medical care for children at Majuro Hospital.

In consultation with the Medical Director of Public Health & Primary Care, the Staff Physician/Pediatrician is expected to Clinical Supervision of patients and clinical support staff. Provide medical service and consultation. Participate in the mentoring and precepting of trainees in MOHHS training programs (such as for intern physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, health assistants, and community health outreach workers. Delivery/assist delivery of EMNOC and IMCNI training modules to midwives, med staff, and appropriate nursing staff Provide other continuing education classes on request to medical and other MOHHS staff. Development of clinical practice guidelines, such as therapeutic feeding guidelines, referral pathways for virtual and in-person consultations for pediatric referrals from health assistants, community health outreach workers, zone nurses, and outlying clinics. Develop monitoring, counselling, and intervention guidelines for lactation promotion by clinic, neighboring islands, maternity/peds wards and outreach staff Lead Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative certification efforts Gather/develop patient counselling materials for use by well child, antenatal, and post-partum clinics, and by outreach workers Provide recommendations for improvement in care of children. Leading QA/QI improvement projects related to the completeness and quality of delivery of services on the essential services list for children. Perform other duties within the capacity, qualification and experience normally expected from a person occupying a position as this classification.

This is a full-time position (40 hours a week plus night call in rotation with other staff physicians) with international consultants benefit rates.
