JOB PURPOSE: Assist the radiographic department in supporting the provision of effective and efficient radiographic services; develop and implement systems and processes within the radiographic department to improve patient/client outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Handling of medical imaging equipment
2. Customer service
3. Record keeping
4. Training and Development
5. Perform other duties within the capacity and experience and experience normally expected from person occupying a position as this classification
MAIN DUTIES AND OUTCOMES:
1.1 Supervise and train, direct and support the rehabilitation team to enhance their job performance and further develop their skills.
1.2 Use a variety of methodologies to develop creative solutions for improving radiographer services
1.3 Ensure all services are in complaint with legislation, contracts and funding agreements.
1.4 Ensure the accuracy, maintenance and safety of radiological records.
1.5 Undertake timely procurement of radiology supplies in an efficient and effective manner.
1.6 Establish and monitor quality assurance programs or activities to ensure the accuracy of radiographic results.
1.7 Foster a stimulating and supportive work environment
1.8 Ensure services are accountable and sustainable
1.9 Demonstrate advanced planning, prioritizing and organizing ability.
10.1 Use radiation safety measures and protective devices to comply with regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
1.11 Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tapes, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
1.12 Ensure safety and comfort during scan by explaining procedures and observing the patient
1.13 oversee or operate the radiology or magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
1.14 Ensure patients are positioned correctly and immobilize on examining table
1.15 Take through and accurate patient medical histories
1.16 Demonstrate advanced self-management skills such as

• Ability to acquire and utilize skills and knowledge via a range of means including the review and monitoring of research data and journals, formalized education and training and on the job training.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification:
• Graduated from recognized university with an BS Degree in Radiography and must have at least four (4) years of work experience as a radiologist
• Fluent in English/Marshallese
