Ebeye, Marshall Islands, 10 January 2024 — Secretary of Health Francyne Wase-Jacklick recently led a Ministerial Leadership Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) trip to Ebeye Hospital, organized by the Ministry’s Leadership Team (MLT). The primary goal of this initiative was to strengthen collaboration, discuss program updates, address communication challenges, and outline work plans to commence the year on a positive note.

During the visit, a constructive meeting was conducted with the heads of departments at Ebeye Hospital. The session provided a platform for open discussions, with everyone recognizing positive changes implemented in recent months. Notable improvements included creating a healthier working environment and enhancing departmental requests turnaround time, both of which contributed to the overall efficiency of the hospital.

Secretary Wase-Jacklick took the opportunity to engage in sideline conversations with patients during her visit. Patients shared their observations, expressing appreciation for the positive changes they have experienced. The hospital was noted to be much cleaner, and the functionality of air conditioning units has significantly improved, ensuring that patients no longer feel uncomfortably hot during their stay.
