"Marking the Long-Awaited Moment: Grand Unveiling of the Ajeltake Health Center”
The Ministry of Health and Human Services marked a significant milestone with the official opening of the much-anticipated health dispensary in Ajeltake. The auspicious occasion commenced with a blessing and christening ceremony, featuring a heartfelt prayer by a respected rev. Marshall Langidrik.
Irooj Sam Joash, representing Leiroij Maria Joash, expressed gratitude for the achievement in a welcoming remark. He conveyed his mother's appreciation for the establishment of the health dispensary in Ajeltake and extended recognition to those who played a pivotal role, including Hon. Minister Kalani Kaneko, Hon. Minister Tony Muller, Hon. Senator David Kramer, and Hon. Speaker Branson Wase. Special mentions were also made to the dedicated MoHHS staff and management, as well as Ajeltake councilman, Mr. Boaz Lamdrik.
Hon. Ladie N. Jack, the Majuro Mayor, shared special remarks, commending the collective efforts of attendees, including Leiroij Maria's proxy, Irooj Sam Joash, Majuro Senators, MoHHS staff, and Ajeltake's councilman, Mr. Boaz Lamdrik. Mayor Jack praised Mr. Lamdrik's commitment and dedication to realizing the dream of having a clinic in Ajeltake.
The Minister of Health, Hon. Minister Ota Kisino, delivered keynote remarks, expressing gratitude and pride for the collaborative efforts that led to the success of the project. Minister Kisino acknowledged the support from the Majuro Local Government and the Immunization Department, emphasizing the significance of national and international partnerships in enhancing community well-being.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Mrs. Lucy Kisino, Irooj Sam Joash, and First Lady Mrs. Ritok Jack. Senator David Kramer expressed appreciation for the accomplished mission, highlighting it as one of many initiatives for the benefit of the people of Majuro.
Closing the event, Ajeltake councilman, Mr. Boaz Lamdrik, expressed deep gratitude for the project, detailing the patience and perseverance required throughout the nearly eight-year journey. Despite challenges and unforeseen circumstances, Mr. Lamdrik affirmed that the long wait was worthwhile, proudly declaring, "Ajeltake finally has a Health Clinic."
